A quick mea culpa
In my post yesterday about the new look Meanjin and the Meanjin blog I omitted to mention the excellent work Jeff Sparrow and his team have been doing at Overland. It wasn’t a deliberate omission, but it was pretty remiss of me, not least because Overland began exploring the possibilities of the online environment more than a decade ago with Overland Express. That said, are there other sites I’ve forgotten? If there are please let me know.

I promise I will shut up about all this now – but Eureka Street went completely online – last year? 2007?
And I am fond of Cordite, run so efficiently on the smell of a smear of oil.

ABR was mentioned a bit negatively in terms of online presence in the other thread but they have recently rebooted their blog. Mostly about internal workings of ABR at the moment but also not without interesting bits.
Probably moving outside the square here, but of course there are open access models, too. Such as that adopted by Australian Humanities Review, here:

Heat has a growing online presence at http://giramondopublishing.com/heat/. Like the journal itself, it’s not all that chatty.
It would be super to see a blog at HEAT, Jonathan! but the website is much better than it was.
